pre-orders on steam or amazon Lost Ark: Bronze from Amazon Games Bronze = nice because of head start and pet Silver = Meh Gold = best bang for buck Platinum = most exclusive skins none of it mandatory, but you'll probably want to buy a pet sometime anyway, which looks at <€10 price but we'll see (also they are often given away during events)
  7. I just tried this demo out on my Series X, got to say it's pretty damn impressive! Imagine GTA6 using this tech!

Talking of DLSS/FSR helping with the future proofing, have you seen the benefits of the direct x 12 ultimate feature tests on 3dmark? The mesh shaders give me 150% extra fps, VRS gives me 50% extra, and the sample feedback gives 9%. So there are going to be new games using that version of directx that can really push things in the future
  14. Here is how they look in place. Yesterday I mounted my work laptop to the underside of my desk, and I still need to fully tidy up the cables connected to the laptop
  15. I was after some nice compact speakers for my PC for when I don't want to wear my headset. Preferably something great for music, that could fit in the gap below by mounted monitors, has a nice rich sound with decent bass, and would be great mainly for music while WFH and for gaming. I was tired with lack of clarity from my generic bluetooth speaker (mpower). After a lot of research, I settled on the iLoud Micro Monitors from IKMultiMedia IK Multimedia - iLoud Micro Monitor I totally recommend these for anyone who wants some premium near field active speakers. holy crap they are damn good. 5*

I can boot into windows with 4000MHz 16-16-16-32-48, 2000 IF, but I get WHEA warnings.. must be a way to get this stable

It's amazing what we pay when we really want something: I ended up getting the alphacool waterblock for my RTX3080, then replaced all my fans with 6x Arctic Cooling P14 PWM 140s, and 6x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM. Just those fans is quite a bit of money . I should take a photo of what it looks like now the full loop is back in play. Maybe I can't compete with David on the GPU front, but I can flex on disks. I no longer have any HDD in my system, so the HDD cages are completely gone from my case for the increased air flow. I also figured if I have PCI4, then I might as well put 2 PCI4 nvme drives in, oh there is 3rd nvme slot in the motherboard? lets fill that too.. That'll still let me run the 3 SATA SSD and the optical RW I still have a use for too...

@Ernestowhat RAM did you get and what speeds is it running at? I have my Samsung b-die 3600MHz RAM chugging along nicely at 3800Mhz (1900Mhz Infinity fabric) 16-16-16-32-48 I've also tweaked my CPU curve offset and boost quite a bit now, with each core pretty much dialled in to the best it can be. The undervolt I have on my GPU is just the recommended settings from OptimumTech on youtube, conservative but works.

thought Ern had a 5900x ? I was on the fence about DLSS, I get great FPS at native for most titles so thought it redundant, but then I realised just how much heat DLSS and FSR can stop your PC generating so much heat in the summer

You will love it. My 5950X and 3080 handle anything I chuck at it. I totally went overkill with the CPU, but it was the only AMD chip available when I got it. I only overpaid for that really, and only £200 which like you I can afford. Edit: I have my old 1440p 60Hz monitor, and the 144hz 1440p monitor and my setup can handle running 2 games in Ultra settings at once, hehehe
  22. you have so much more DP than me https://bdoplanner.com/CessoryDaruValentine but yeah, I think it is much better with self publishing
  23. So I have had to back off on a couple of cores as I started pushing further. Right now I have best core at 0, 2nd best at -20, core that wouldn't go to -30 at -25, and the rest at -30. This is passing through the core cycling at the moment, but I'm still running it through for absolute stability. I think that I'm getting close to maximum undervolt now, I'm only reducing the offset by 1 at a time when cores fail
  24. Here is a comparison showing my improvement since -5 all cores https://www.3dmark.com/compare/cpu/86120/cpu/45702
