It was an enjoyable, well crafted blockbuster spectacle movie with solid acting and great special effects.

Ugh, didn't know that, just saw they had a giveaway going on. Always hated this artificial social media snowball bullshit.

Got a key and managed to play for a few hours last weekend. So far, the game feels a lot like Tera: fun combat, but little of interest to do aside from quests and dungeons. Those, however, are good fun. Moving around and hitting stuff feels really smooth. Haven't tried the crafting professions yet. Open world PvP seems to be limited to signing up for one of two factions and duking it out with the other side - given that both parties wear their faction uniforms. What I did enjoy was the colosseum, closed arena lobbies where gear and stats are irrelevant. When facing other people the game plays much like a fast paced fighting game. There, the combat system shines with all the mindgames involved (zoning, blocks, cancels, dodges, combos). There's 1v1 and 3v3 game modes from what I could tell.

There's no way to change body shape or size . The ultimate glider is still worse. Getting one of the four equivalents takes a lot more effort and crafting time. I got one of the components from a level 30 quest.

It will be F2P, but in order to claim your own patch of land you'll need to subscribe. Guilds can share their plots, however, and everyone can technically build stuff there. As for the dwarves, they are announced and will be put into the Korean version soon. As of now you only have cat people, Elves and two human races to pick from.

Not worth it in my book. You apparently get better titles later on, there's a cloak with +7 to all stats at level 40, daru chests can be bought every 3 days while subscribed, and the rest is craftable very early. The only thing you might not be able to get quite as fast is the glider.

Aye, got the RSI Aurora! Don't really remember if I linked the pledge to an actual account back then, and the password recovery mail isn't giving me anything either. Edit: Got the mail now, apparently I have a Legacy account that needs to be migrated to a new system.

I did back the game when it was on Kickstarter. Not sure I pledged enough for the dogfighting module.

That's awesome, I'll need to look into that. Thanks, Cog.

Haven't been following Star Citizen at all for a while, are there more things to do than running around the hangar now? And why are so many people buying these spaceships, are they exclusive? I'm absolutely lost with all the ship variants, passes, insurance cards and special goodies up for purchase. Isn't everything supposed to be obtainable by regular gameplay?

Having doubts about the long term playability this game has on offer as well. The crafting system looks rather complex and I love the fact that every product thrown onto the market has to be created by the players, but it sure looks like it might be a tedious affair in the long run. I could see the main drive being castle sieges, the ability to grief and gank other players, and a huge FFA PvP continent. Leveling and exploring, on the other hand, have been lots of fun so far.

Really enjoying it so far. Finally built a small clipper to sail across the ocean. Join us on Shatigon!

I just got a spare key for this CBT4, in case anyone's interested.
