Sammerkand Report post Posted May 20, 2019 Ernesto is playing with a new full immersion VR game. To be honest, I was surprised that he plays it so well. At one point i did not think he would invest, let alone play. I also did not think he had activated the software and hardware. The learning Curve makes Eve online look like a flat lining heart attack victim, in fact i do believe in places it goes fully upside down. It is however multi player, and getting an account opened is possible for all, but can vary wildly on cost, anything from £0 to your ETERNAL soul. (it leans towards Eternal Soul). It is currently in Beta, with no date for final release. there are multiple character slots available, but you have to by additional alt slots and they are very expensive. Character creation however is extremely fun, and can be played by 2 people, or more if you are adventurous, there is a solo option, but this is not seen as being fun, it is a last resort even if the out turn is in fact absolutely random and you have no say with the final outcome. Leveling a new character is time consuming, but whilst the levels are gained at regular intervals, the game is very much skills based, and you gain experience by actually using the skills. there are a group of core skills which every character gets, and then you decide how to branch out from there. Unlike eve online, it IS possible to learn multiple skills at the same time. I wont go into details, but it has a very, very large list of potential skills. it is open world, with no loading screens, a total sandbox with full looting available, but PVP is frowned upon in all but the most aggressive zones. There is a large survival element, and unlike games such as new world, it is possible for your character to die from Thirst, Starvation, or a variety of in game diseases and accidents. The economy is one of the best i have ever seen and is based on a system by where you earn money by selling the skills that you have learned to the highest bidder, or sometimes the bidder with the best overall offer. I have been playing on and off for a long time, and can attest to the fact that the game is worth playing, i would however like to point out that it is, and can be, unbelievably frustrating, but also at times, it will be the best game you have ever played. There are also many many cash shop options to "Pimp out" your character, they are optional, but can greatly enhance game play. As of this point in time i am Level 50.
