What do you pay for your broadband, and what type is it?

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about changing broadband provider. I have previously been very spoiled with my internet connection, but since I moved to Stockholm, I've had to use a Cable connection with provider "Tele 2" with a 25/1 connection 299SEK (

100/5 cable 44e

few months after the deal was made they put fiber to the house and offered 100/10 vdsl2 connection 42e... fuckers

I didn't bother to change the connection since the cable is working great so far :x

Edit: checked the prices for vdsl2 100/10 and those motherfuckers..

24months deal first 12 months 19,90e and next 12 months 29,90e

Maybe I should have changed after all...huoh

I love the possibility of having a static IP. And I assume you would also be very pleased with having at least 10 mbit upload sometimes. 1 mbit up is retarded. I have that aswell and it anoys the fux out of me when you want to send files to friends or backup your pictures n shit in the cloud or things like that.

bigger DL speed wouldnt really help me, but more upload would indeed make me happy.

4G dongle?

Ern has pointed out to me that 4G has a higher response time than cable. I pointed out that Ern has such a slow response time we wouldn't know the difference.

528 sounds a bit expensive, im on Tyfon 100/100 and its 417sek, which still is a wee bit hefty imo, but its not like i got much else to pay..

How come its Telia only?

adsl, 20mbit down, 2mbit up = 40euro @ XS4all.

Im thinking of switching btw, im getting 12mbit down and 0,8up in most tests.

But I can only pick UPC (Dutch cable provider) and not sure how stable that is.

I DL over 500 gb last month and uploaded about the same.

What on earth are you downloading in just 1 month that's 500GB?! My total DL over the last 19 months is 409GB and that some serious watching I did imo.

Telenor Mobile broadband 32mbit/s, 249SEK, roughly 28 Euro.

Got a mobile one since I knew I would move around a lot and it's working really rather well. A few "bad days" here and there with lag, but rarely anything that affects my gaming too much. It has "no limitations" and I test around 20dl and 8up. Kinda sweet for mobile IMO. Smug
