Helpful links I use more or less daily:

Warframe Hub - Lists timers for stuff, active missions, bounties in Cetus, which Alerts are active etc etc. I keep this up on my second screen basically all the time.

Warframe market - A marketplace for players. Make a account and you can post stuff, if you just wanna buy no account needed. With a account you can place BUY ORDERS, this can save you 10-30% of the price. Very easy to use, search for what you need, press a button and you get a copypaste string you just paste inside Warframe with a ready tell to the person selling.

Tenno Zone - Nice "planner" function if you wanna farm for specific drops from relics. Tells you which relics drops stuff, and where to farm the relics most efficient.

Warframe Reddit - Just a forum, and you'll probably be surprised how amazingly friendly this community is. Forget the cesspool that's reddit in other games :)

Official forums – A personal favourite is the "Players helping Players" forum. I browse it often just to catch questions other are asking, which is usually stuff I wonder about as well. Very informative and helpful.

All Resource best Farm Locations 2018 - Just a forum post, and I can't guarantee it's 100% reliable, but I always check if when I forget where some resource drops.

Weapons required as crafting ingredients - Don't sell some weapon you crafted if it can be used to create something new!

Warframe Wiki - Amazing. Just amazing. Has more or less all the info you can ask for. Active discussions in MOST of the entries as well, so don't forget to scroll down and check what people are talking about regarding what you searched for.

Aaaand self plug if someone wanna start:

Referral Link - Gives you a 7 day XP boost and gives me some unlockable bonuses as people are refered

Know some played it a few years back, but A LOT has changed since. I didn't play it back then, but those who did says it's a whole new game. More or less all systems has been reworked, there's a pretty rich story and just a buttload of content.

I'm about 80 hours in, having a blast. The learning curve can, even though there's a tutorial, be quite steep. First 3-4 sessions I played less than 1 hour each, but then I got completely stuck.

The movement is very parkour-ish, LOTS of dashes, airglides, wall jumps etc. At first it felt very odd, coming from normal shooters, but it grows on you.

There's 30+ "classes"/Warframes, group dynamics, story missions, progression, hundreds of weapons etc and you customize everything with mods that you level up.

You can farm basically everything. Some "delux" warframes/weapons have been retired, but are still available for sale from players. So you farm the newer stuff, sell that to players (for the currency you can buy with RL money) and buy older stuff as well.

TIP: Do NOT start spending cash. It's not needed what so ever. The game is a lot about collecting stuff, getting stronger, collecting better stuff. Well, you get the idea. So if you spend cash, you're kinda buying yourself out of playtime. At least play few days, get the hang of it, THEN chose if you wanna put some money in. I have put like 20€ in so far, for some weapon slots and warframe slots (the only thing I'd recommend spending RL money on at start, if anything).

Also, you get a daily reward that can be a bit of ingame currency, xp boost etc. But you can also get a 50% or if you're lucky 75% discount on the RL-cash currency (called Platinum), so might wanna wait for that if you're going to spend any money.

And if you try it, don't get overwhelmed. There's A LOOOOOOT of content, mechanics and stuff built up over the years. Just pace yourself :)

Not sure how long it'll last, but since it's F2P there's no harm trying.

Can add me ingame, SinfulSupernova

This was a good game even years ago.

A very well done F2P game where you really feel paying for stuff is completely optional and you don't hamper yourself if you don't pay.

What the hell Ern?! You cant just pop out of nowhere and start posting in a somewhat random thread... and twice in a day. Have some respect for the effect you have on people. Marriages are on the line. Lives are at stake!

You'll get a 7 day XP boost, and if you ever make a platinum purchase I get 10% of it, there's also some bonuses if a horde of people start :P All about it here, if anyone is curious:

Ern is only a figment of my memory, stop playing with my heartstrings...

That and these days we have Newern, who is doing a top quality job of not showing up to anything either! :)

I remember Ern ......

As on old senile gentleman, that says something (not as senile as depraved)

I re watched the siege videos from Elder Scrolls, and a small tear formed in my eye (damned hayfever). Ern's dulcet tones screaming "TO ME" and "LETS GO BALLS DEEP!"

I miss those days.

I pin my hopes on Camelot Unchained, to see Ern the caterpillar emerge form his crysalis and turn into a beautiful Ernfly.

I shall now go and wallow in my memories af times gone, and better days, when we were all younger and had time to play games, not just longingly looking at the icons on the desktop whilst working from home at 8pm at night, with the kids around your feet, demanding money, or the car keys, or for you to do their homework for them, whilst making an evening snack because they are missing the football ....

I hate you Millenials!!!

I want to be free of responsibility and able to game 24hrs a day, in my ubderpants, drinking beer!

So the developer just arranged this years fan convention, Tennocon, and talked about the coming year. If anyone happens to be interested I’ll leave the 2 biggest reveals here: A whole new open world area with new mechanics, missions etc etc and a whole new game mode where you and 3 friends man can man and fight big spaceships.

This free game is quite insane ☺️

Fortuna - open world and a new city hub. 1 minute trailer.

Codename: Railjack - the new game mode with spaceships. 11 minute demo. (From the live show, audience etc)

And the combined 30 minute reveal of both, with gameplay etc from Fortuna.

YouTuber Skill Up, who's made content, reviews, commentary for a bunch of games has recently made couple Warframe videos which were so good I thought I'd share.

"If you aren't paying attention to Warframe...Then You Aren't Paying Attention To Gaming (Warframe TennoCon18 In Review)" - A commentary not only about Tennocon, but gaming industry at large and why he thinks DE/Warframe is doing it right.

"The Sacrifice - The review" - A review/commentary on Warframes latest cinematic story mission, which has gotten raving review from the community. ONLY AUDIO IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETED THE MAIN STORY/THE SACRIFICE YET! (The video opens with this warning, and that the audio is spoiler free)

Thanks for sharing the videos. That guy knows how to shill a game! Great journalism.

@Lyngs: Hehe, he's quite good at that stuff. Having played the game a while, watching tennocon and being involved in all that he's talking about, those videos are giving me goosebumps :P

@Muuman: Well, I haven't wanted in yet :) I've been in a leveling clan kinda, just someone who shouted in recruiting (at the time I was the only one playing). Before I drop it I wanna buy every research blueprint at least, so that stuff is done. Just need to farm 1-2 million credit, so it's not rly much just that I've had other stuff to do. Then we'll see.

Being in a clan which is in a alliance is kind of a big help, getting groups for stuff and what not. And asking stupid questions in alliance chat. But if we got some people who wanna give our own clan a go why not.

I somewhat like the thought of the game. I'm just really not into sci-fi and space and spaceships and stuff like that. I do like action combat and shooting and getting gear. Would this game be something for me?

It's free, you don't have to spend anything to try it other than the bandwidth to download. I recommend having a quick read through of the first few sections of the steam guide I linked. I've not read all of it, but it looks like it will be very useful.

Building Oberon, Excalibur, and got all parts for rhino now, my warframe stash is growing :-p. Really liking this, 40ish hours since I started a few days ago @.@

There's no turning back now Muumie! Think I'm at 360 hours or so, 5-6 weeks in (bless vacation), but I'd say 60-70 hours of those are me forgetting to turn of the game when I go to bed :P Still, addicted.

@Chasin: I'll just echo what Tony said, it's free so there's little reason not to try. Download, give it a spin and see :) I mean it IS sci-fi, it IS in space, but there's no flying space ships around (yet, but coop flying/fighting in a spaceship is coming, but it will be optional) and I'd say the combat isn't OVERLY sci-fi. Yes there's laser guns, but honestly shotguns, auto rifles, submachine guns, flamethrowers, snipers etc are far more common. Enemies are very sci-fiish though, robots, aliens and so on.

After all this time playing I'd say it's a lot more action/shooting-mmo than a finely tuned shooter, specially with the gathering, building, classes and what not. There's PLENTY of both frames and weapons to use for someone like me who's not a big FPS-nerd and who outright admits I'm not the best at aiming. Not saying the shooting mechanics are off, they're not, but the game offers plenty of options to focus on using skills to kill enemies, or "easier" weapons like flamethrower which are very viable. Things like movement, teamwork and how you approach fights strategically is 100% more important than how well you can land a headshot while running down a hallway.

Then again if you ARE the kind of person who can shoot a penny at 3km there are also plenty options to make use of that. You can mod a lot of weapons to give stuff like extra crits on headshots, or use some sniper which hits for a million.

Basically a lot of the game can be tailored to the way you want to play.
