The Ginnunga army of WAR:
|
|   |
War
Some of the rules here are repeated in variation in different segments of the text. Those rules aren't extra important as such, but are worth repeating for one reason or another.
Rules of WAR, Section 1: Chain of command.
In order to make Ginnungas war effort a success we need our players to follow orders. When anyone in the leadership calls the guild to fight, the guild will respond. If you are occupied with something ingame when such a call is made, you will drop it instantly and rally with the other Ginnunga soldiers.
Needless to say is that this is a tool for the leadership and a rallying call to war, as such, can not be made by a normal member. Officers will ofcourse not abuse this to get help for their personal gains, only for the guild war effort.
When someone needs help in a personal matter, you will ofcourse respond in kind when you are able to. However you are not breaking the guildrules by finishing off your personal business if needed.
Rules of WAR, Section 2: Attitude.
We require our members to play for Ginnunga first and foremost and secondly our alliance. Ginnungas priorities and focus should always be the members focus. Where the guild goes, so do you.
Our members must always promote Ginnungas reputation to those outside the guild. Don't take unneccesary arguments or fights, don't brag about your accomplishments in a "I am so much better then you" attitude and use proper language in chat. Common sense is a good word for this rule section.
Rules of WAR, Section 3: Orders.
NEVER question an order in the heat of battle, do as your told and fight. Afterwards you should always voice your opinion if you think an order you recieved was wrong or detrimental to the guild progress. Sum your concerns up and when the fighting is over talk to the officer or guild leader. Or if you feel it's something that concerns the entire guild make a thread out of it on the forum.
We love our members and the leadership is here for you. So to make your experience in the guild the best it can possibly be, we need your help when you see something you think is wrong.
Rules of WAR, Section 4: Secrecy.
Never let the enemy get an opportunity of inside information regarding our guild. Do not talk about our tactics, skills, gear and plans where our enemies have a chance of getting their hands on the information. A good example of this is public forums.
Also in the same ballpark we have a rule against lending your account to people outside of Ginnunga. The old saying "if someone isn't cool enough to be in the guild, he's not cool enough to see Gwargs underpants either" applies.
The guildchat is there for the members of Ginnunga and noone else.
General Rules, Section 1: - Recruitment. See recruitment section. Only exception to this is members that have been Ginnunga flagged in earlier MMO's we have played.
General Rules, Section 2: - Loyalty.
We expect our members to be 100% loyal to the guild. If you are a member of Ginnunga you are not allowed to join other guilds on your alternate characters. Noone outside the guild may have access to your account. If you leave the guild in anger, or for any other reason, your rights in the guild will be revoked and never given back. - If you are quitting the game/taking a break, talk to a leader and they will sort things out, quitting the game does not have to mean quitting the guild. To be in the guild is a privilege, if you decide to leave it that privilege is gone forever.
General Rules, Section 3:- Alternate Characters.
We encourage you to play one character only. However, you are allowed to have alternate characters in the guild.
General Rules, Section 4: - Guildchat.
English is the main language of the guild. Please remember that not all have this as their first language, and misunderstandings can occur. So before you think about starting an argument, try to reread the message given and see if there might be a misunderstanding somewhere. We also discourage foul language on the guildline. Cursing is of course allowed, but stay mature. The above mentioned also applies to the guilds Teamspeak channels.
If you are on someone elses character, you are required to mention your main character name before you say anything.
Example: /gu (Ernesto) Hey guys!
General Rules, Section 5: - Out of guild arguments.
Do not involve the guild in personal problems, for example do not: "If you guys don’t fuck off, I will bring my guild here and KS everyone of ya!" If someone has a problem with you that concerns the guild, please forward them to the leader, who will handle the problem. If you have a problem with someone, discuss it with the guild first before starting a fight. Sometimes things are not as bad as they might occur while you are angry. You have to remember that everything you do with our guildtag attached to your name reflects back on to the guild. Respect the other players you play with and respect your guildmates. Bashing of individuals and/or guilds in any public channels will not be tolerated. However, making fun at enemies, taunting them and calling them out on their sub-par abilities is of course allowed, but there are limits.
General Rules, Section 6: - Domestic arguments.
Even though we are the best of friends this will happen sooner or later, if this happens do not leave the guild in anger, try to talk it out at first and direct the issue to the leader who will handle the problem. If the problem cannot be solved the leader will take the proper actions.
General Rules, Section 7: - Cheating.
The usage of any form of 3rd party software or service that actively changes gameplay will, if revealed lead to instant and final expulsion from the guild. This does not include legal UI mods.
Examples: Macro programs, wallhacks, aimbots, purchase of virtual property/accounts and the likes.
General Rules, Section 8: - Forum.
You are expected to keep up to date with the information in the private forums on this site. Read them at least once every day that you play the game. The forum is the place where the officers spread information vital to your gameplay as well as the place where you signup for guild planned raids/events.
General Rules, Section 9: - Voice Chat.
We are using the Teamspeak software in this guild, and you are required to have this installed and properly configured, working microphone and so on. When you are online and ingame you are also online on our TeamSpeak. If you want peace and quiet you can sit in the Silent Channel.
General Rules, Section 10: - Leaving the guild (anti emo rule).
If you declare that you leave the guild, you will have done just so. After leaving the guild, you will never be invited back again under any circumstances.
Loot Rules, Section 1: - Materials.
Sometimes the guild requires special materials. These materials must not be sold on the open market, but handed to the guild bank.
Loot Rules, Section 2: - Large raids.
Loot is distributed by the Officers with the mindset Need before Greed. More specific rules of conduct regarding this will be found in our private forum section.
Loot Rules, Section 3: - Alternative Characters.
Main characters always goes over alternative characters in groups - Need goes before Greed, always and forever. Addendum to rules: Any attempts of sidestepping, bending or avoiding the rules will be considered as breaking them.
Loot Rules, Section 4: - Dictator loot.
Some items may be restricted for certain classes/specs. Sometimes specific items are defaulted to specific members in the interest of increasing the guilds progress. The enforcing of this rule is solely up to the guild leader.
Loot Rules, Section 5: - Set loot.
If two people of the same class are in a party or warband while we do PvE content and one gets a set item, that person will pass if another set item drops later on that the other person need. This gives a higher chance that everyone gets something. Superceding this rule is if you just need one item to complete your set, then you will win that part by default, even if you won a previous item during that run.
