Spring (formerly known as TA Spring or Total Annihilation: Spring) is a open source RTS game. Originally developed by the Swedish Yankspankers, with the goal to bring the gameplay from Total Annihilation into a 3D world. The game engine is licensed under the GNU General Public License, the same license used by Linux for example.
The game is played with a large variation of mods, where Ginnunga has been playing with one in particular called Balanced Annihilation (previously Absolute Annihilation).
Spring, as we play it, is a very broad strategy game where almost anything can happen. It looks abit like a real battlefield, in terms of how many different kinds of units you have at your disposal. The game has many layers to it, with everything from airplanes, to submarines.
This is one of those games that "comes and goes" for us. We play it activly for a while, then we let it go untill the urge gets too great again. Another thing that could be good to point out is that we are not an official Spring clan. We just like this game so much for relaxing and getting some strategy games going, that it's worth mentioning on our website.
